Heartland Bighorn

We used the Fayetteville store for purchase and service. I am planning on posting a thread there, just trying to clarify dates and issues with my wife first so I don't misrepresent the information. There was a lot of back and forth and I've been deployed for 9 months so it's not fresh on my mind anymore.

What camping World did you use? I am here in NC as well.

I would suggest going to the Service Forum and letting them know your issues and have seen they have fixed some issues regarding CW work.

IDK...First post here after 1.5 years of ownership with problems that would appear to be something Heartland would look upon favorably...

This example is so far from normal treatment of customers by Heartland it raises many questions...

My main issue has been one of my black tanks not closing, makes for a messy hookup. CW says it is fixed now (ripped out the brake/light connection wire fixing it somehow) but I won't know if it's fixed til I get home in a few weeks. The rest of the problems with the camper have been small... Adjustments to doors, sliders, cabinet doors popping off, etc. my main issues are with the horrible service of camping world. I'm mad they've gotten any money from me at all at this point. Heartland has been great every step of the way.

Wow, I am so sorry you all are having issues with Heartland. I had the same with Keystone and lost way to much sleep stressing over the amount to fix it and what else was going to break on our trip. Never enjoyed a night in it after it delammed and other stuff went bad on it. We bought an extended warranty for 5 years on our used Alfa and has helped out a bit. I would suggest getting one that covers all the expensive breaks. Mine was $1500 with a $100 deductible. After spending over 8k on fixes in the last one i thought it was a wise investment. I purchased mine at a local Rv shop that does the work on mine.

When you call have your VIN# ready...they will also usually allow service work by any certified repair center. Doesn't have to be a Heartland dealer....

Thanks everyone. I just want to say that we love our camper and have nothing but good things to say about heartland, the problems with it were few and nothing too serious. They were simply turned into huge deals by CW. I will definitely call Heartland to find a service center near me when I get home.
