Heat and a/c

Question

Hey guys and gals, I am just curious as to if anyone turns the heat on in their camper during winter storage, or the a/c on during the summer during storage. I know there is a cost associated with doing this, but would it be better on the unit to do this? Or am I just dumb?

My mh sits out my back door when not in use. During the winter, I will turn on a light bulb by the water pump when it is going to be in the 20,s and turn on a heater in the kitchen. In the summer I will set the AC to about 85. I plan to build a shelter for it so it the summer I won't do that anymore.

No, you are not dumb,  we know you are chomping at the bit, go out and turn it on. Tomorrow is the weekend, camp out in it. :)

I keep my ac at 90 deg.  when park home. In south Louisiana it still cycles at 90 deg.
