- CA_TravelerExplorer IIICheck both ends of the wire for a short and check everywhere it comes in contact with metal. Another approach is to disconnect it near the battery and work towards the problem. Consider jumping the fuse with a big 12V light bulb which should then light due to the short. Wiggle wires, remove cable ends watching for the light to go out.
- K_CharlesExplorerIs it the polarity fuse? Did he just have the battery out?
- TodduptonExplorerBattery hooked up backwards
- TucsonJimExplorer IIReverse polarity fuse blowing. The battery is wired backwards.
- CampinfanExplorer IIIThanks all, I texted my buddy about the battery being wired up wrong. Sure enough, that was the problem. Not sure how it happened... He did have his electric tongue jack replaced under warranty so maybe it was the service person.
- TucsonJimExplorer IIAnd thank you for letting us know the outcome. Quite often, folks post on here about problems they're having, and we never hear the final outcome.
