Help

I am in a campground in Palmetto Florida and I just notice that the middle bolt that holds the spring to the shackle has loss a nut and it has moved out the one hole in the shackle and its binding I think that it will needs to be replaced anybody know of a mobile rv service in this area.

Thanks
  • If the bolt slipped out of one side of the hanger, you should be able to put just a little pressure on the spring with your bottle jack to line it back up. Replace nut and good to go. If the spring is higher, lift on the frame like changing a tire to line the holes back up. I have done this before, not sure if it was the best idea but it worked fine.

Everywhere we go we always make notice where the nearest WALMART and LOWES stores are located. Those two stores just about covers all of our camping needs...

Most of the time these two stores are sitting next to each other.,,

  • If it is just missing a nut then find a hardware store and buy a new nut. They are standardized after all. Take the bolt with you.
  • I would think you could ask at the office. Surely they would have some one to recommend. Good luck, John
