Here is what I want!

We have had a Keystone Laredo for about 4 years now, we love it, it is what it is and we are good with that.

We are looking to upgrade and fell in love the room and design of the toy haulers, but alas, we do not own any toys.

We like the Heartland Road Warriors, the larger ones, but what I want is a regular 5'er with a Toy Hauler rear end. Think the front and salon of a RW 425, but in the Garage area, No ramp door, a couch that ran along the back wall, and only one queen that descends from the ceiling. Everything else the same except, we would not need the weight capacity of hauling toys so you could make it lighter, not a show stopper though.

Does such an animal even exist? Thoughts, ideas,leads??

The only two bedroom ones that I find are either pull out couches or bunk rooms. How hard would it be? Guests would even have their own door to their bedroom and their own bathroom.

It is a win win, but cannot even get close to one in current production.

    They rear of a toy hauler is not just for toys. Many people use the rear for a bedroom, office, shop, hobby room, second sitting area, dining area, patio room, the uses are endless, and if you want to, you can haul stuff in there. I’ve even seen a hot tub back there (without water when traveling).

    Many of the new toy haulers have the rear patio kit that turns the rear gate into an elevated deck for sitting outside.

    We used to only have motorcycles in the garage, but in the winter, we left the bikes at home, traveling with an empty garage. Since then, we’ve added a Smart Car to our collection so we carry that when we don’t have the bikes.

    For us the toy hauler works great in all situations, but all people have different needs and desires. Keep looking and think about the flexibility of the toy hauler.

    This is the model of TH that I found and like. It is not a goddie Nascar looking rig, and is nice inside. The seating in the living room is missing for some reason in the first one below. Model is Escalade Sportster 41CKS. They were built in 2006 to 2008 or so. They are heavy like most big TH'r and need a big TV.

    A lot of manufacturers will allow you to make changes like replace a bunk bed setup with a couch. Or add a drop down bed.

    There are lots of new 5th wheel floorplans with setups near what you described.

    An option would be to add the couch and then seal the ramp door and cover it on the inside with a decorative covering or drapes.

    I always thought of leaving the ramp and use it as an outdoor patio area with a screened tent. The garage area would be setup as a large living room/ media room. I've even seen a double french door added to close off the garage when the ramp is down and being used as a raised patio. They just leave the ramp down at night and the french doors provide security.
