Getting close to pulling the trigger on a new 5er form Holiday World in Katy Texas. My salesman is great, very patient with us, and extremely knowledgeable.

But oh the horror stories I'm hearing about their service department.

I don’t think I have found one positive comment concerning the Katy Texas Holiday World service department.

Would sure appreciate input from my most trusted place for RV information.
Let's go camping.......

My insurance company sent me to Russell RV in Conroe, Tx. after I tore my awning off when I misjudged a corner. They were polite and very experienced. They also found that rats had chewed through hydraulic lines and repaired that also.

Highly recommend them.

I use an independent rv shop. He works for quality. We have a Cameo and had most of it fixed before we left the area where the dealer is located. The rest I just paid for as the Cameo had very few problems. The dealer finally got a good repair person, but due to cost I fix most of the problems. You can find a quality independent.

Some places will not let you walk through their service departments, at least not in the areas where the work is actually being performed. It's a liability issue.

But you may be able to observe some keys signs of a well run operation -- the place is clean and organized, walk and fire lanes are clearly marked and observed, spills and debris are quickly cleared, and the staff uses ground guides when moving equipment into and out of the work bays.

There are a couple of websites that permit users to add reviews to RV-friendly services, including RV sales. Here's one: www.rvservicereviews.com
