How do I romve this?

Does anyone know how to remove the white metal piece attached to the fake diamond plate? I need to remove the white piece and fake diamond plate to track down water leak. I've gently pried and also tapped upward but I don't want to force it. Thank you.

If the white strip is metal start prying at a end on the bottom edge as it is likely fasten over another metal strip under it that is more than likely screwed through it and the diamond plate to the trailer framing.
