Helping one another IS the right thing to do.
We were at a C/G in northern Maine one weekend. An older couple came along and asked if we might have seen their missing pooch, a 12 pound mixed breed. We searched off and on for three hours and finally located her down over a bank beside a stream. When pooch was returned to the anxious owners, they tried to pay a reward, to which we refused, bid good day and returned to our campsite, thinking nothing more of the event. One week later when we arrived home, our local ATV dealer called us and asked if we could come by his store. When we arrived at the dealership there was a brand new 4x4 ATV waiting for us with a note on the windshield saying, “Thank you again for finding our pooch”. Talk about being speechless! We have used this ATV for many happy years, all because we did the “right” thing and tried to help our camping neighbors. People surely can be amazing.
