Interconnect genny tank with fuel station tank?

I'm guessing you can tee off supply line from genny tank to your pump. Thinking of doing the exact opposite so I can run my genny longer with out having to go out and fuel it up. Also thinking of replacing that pump also, It's not always reliable.
