Is a long bed a requirement for pulling a 5th wheel?

Thanks again for the advice. I WILL buy the one that fits my needs and I appreciate the input regarding things I may not have thought about. In case y'all are wondering, the short box is the winner. Been full timing in our MH for almost 3 years and haven't come across even one SB owner that wishes they had a LB.
