This Jayco has a unique floorplan that I've not seen before. I was wondering about the quality of the North Point 5th wheels and specifically how the floors and roof systems are made. Anyone have a North Point and know some details?

I was mostly curious, because I am looking at models similar to your Gateway.
Went to the Seattle RV show and there were very few big bunkhouse models.

We love our 3650bh, camping at the beach in it right now. It's got tons of storage, 5 slides, large bunkhouse, 4 TVs, residential fridge, outdoor kitchen, and very solid construction. You should take a close look at the Gateways, there are several nice bunkhouse floorplan.

When we are ready for a non bunkhouse floorplan we will probably go with another Gateway or a BigHorn with a larger living room.

The Northpoint is just a new name for Eagle Premier and I think there are YouTube videos showing Eagle production.

Not right away but in a year or so we won't need a bunkhouse anymore. We are looking for a rear living room floorplan but would love to keep an outdoor kitchen. We would buy another Gateway in a minute but no floorplan that will meet our needs. I guess I've gotten spoiled with the quality of our Gateway's, all laminated aluminum floors/walls with block foam insulation and galvanized metal roof trusses and great insulation. Maybe I'm being to picky?

Anyway, we are in no big hurry and will keep looking. Any suggestions on a unit with large living area and an outdoor kitchen would be appreciated. We would like to stay with 40+ foot like our Gateway and the 1.5 baths is nice too. Someone just needs to make me a 60' 5 slide so I can have everything. ๐Ÿ˜„

My Jayco Eagle has a wood framed roof system. It works just fine. Just make sure you inspect your rubber roof every year or so and seal any cracks in the caulking. If you have a tear in the rubber have your insurance replace the roof. If you put a patch on it and it leaks then insurance won't cover it.

I heard back from Jayco but they won't come right out and say what the joists and rafters are made of. Almost like they are trying to keep it a secret for some reason? This seemed odd to me because the maker of my current rig went on and on about how their floors/roof were made and even had cutout samples of each to show during their sales pitch.

From the few videos I can find online it looks like it is 2x3 wood nailed together with drop in fiberglass insulation and plywood on top for the floor. The roof also looks like 2 x 3 wood connected together with nail plates and drop in fiberglass with plywood on top. Should be sturdy, I'm just concerned about longevity and wood rot.

I have contacted Jayco and am waiting for a reply but From what I have found online (very little) it looks like the roof truss and floor joist systems are both made of wood. Not sure I like that.

The floor is plywood. The bedroom floor above the heated basement is covered in that reflective foil wrap stuff.
Here is the roof system.

Thanks but I've spent hours searching through that forum and haven't found any info on floor and roof construction.
