Keystone Fuzion/Raptor locking gas tank caps

I have a 2013 Keystone Fuzion equipped with 2 ECI Fuel Systems gasoline tanks. ECI lists locking fuel caps as Part #2404. They referred me to 2 RV parts distributors who quoted me $70.00 per cap. I'm not willing to pay that amount for locking fuel caps.
I've called Stant and they said that they plan to offer them by the end of 2016. Called Gates who said Stant makes their fuel caps. Next call is Motorad, but I'm wondering if anyone on this forum may have already solved this issue.
Thank you,
Russ

You need to be careful what off brand you get. The vapors can escape through the cap and over time you will loose fuel and have the smell of leaking gas. Not all caps are designed for the neck and threads of the vehicle/ rv you may be using. I had this issue for my Duramax. I always smelled diesel, but no leaks. Changed the aftermarket locking fuel cap to the right one, problem solved no more smell.

I purchased a pair of keyed alike locking gas caps for a Fuzion at AutoZone. Same cap as an 89 LeBaron and many other vehicles.

The Stant locking gas cap # for a Raptor 299 is 11501, appears the old part number is close to the one you ordered. Please do let us know if it works. Vented is the key issue.

The Stant 10501 locking gas caps fit perfectly on my Fuzion ECI factory fuel tank fill pipes for the generator and the fuel station.
They are vented as well.

If your fuel caps are behind doors, you can change your locks to a less common keying.

I believe it's a vented cap.
I called Stant again and spoke with a different Tech who stated that they DO make the gas caps for ECI. He recommended their cap #10501. Ordered 2 of those from Amazon Prime and will receive them tomorrow. Will report back with success or lack thereof!

Years ago on this forum I got a number for a locking cap (believe its a stant) that fits on my 07 Raptor fuel tank. I will take a look tonite to see if there is any number still visible on the cap itself. Is yours a vent or non-vent model?

I am not as concerned about fuel theft as I am about vandalism - sugar, sand, etc.

As cheap as fuel is today why bother with locking gas caps?
