Leak

I have a 07 CC Daydreamer and today during a real severe driving rain I saw a small leak dripping from the light fixture, I pulled it and felt moisture on the inside of the headliner, I did a very thorough inspection of the roof this summer and all looked well so I'm wondering if the driving rain as it was coming from the rear of the fiver wasn't being blown in through the forward AC unit migrating to the light fixture?
  • A properly installed and sealed A/C unit will not leak. No matter how hard it's raining.

With that said. Remove the inside cover to the A/C unit. Look up and you will see the head of some bolts. These bolts will snug up the gasket between the unit and the roof.
See if you can see any signs of water. Snug the bolts by perhaps a half turn.

Use a garden hose to flood the area with water. See if any leaks inside. If so, snug the bolts another half turn and use the hose again.

If it's the gasket, this should fix the leak as long as the gasket isn't damaged.
  • Check the rubber grommet around the antenna cable. Ours leaked when the rain ran down it. It seemed ok but was just loose enough to let water in. It then ran across the ceiling and into a light fixture. Used a little Dicor on it
