- azdryheatExplorerThere's thousands of full-timers out there that leave their fridges on 24-7.
- Beverley_KenExplorerMine will be turned on this week and not turned off until I winterize in October. I am. not full-time
Ken - gboppExplorerMine is on 24/7 from spring to fall. I do turn it off over the winter.
It's the original refrigerator in our 96 Southwind. - garyemunsonExplorer IIIn humid climates, leaving a gas fridge on helps keep the coils from rusting. Rust has killed countless gas fridges.....
- WTP-GCExplorerI keep my 5er plugged in to shore power full time so I can run the AC and a dehumidifer. And yes, the fridge stays on full time as well.
- TvovExplorer IIIt depends on how much camping we are doing. If we are going out every weekend, we leaved it on at home and loaded up. If it is going to be a few weeks between trips we empty it out and turn it off.
- Wild_CardExplorerMine stays on from De winterize the winterize and full of food ready to go.
- 2112Explorer III have not turned mine off in 5 years. Our camper is my man-cave when not on the road.
- SteeljagExplorerI don’t think it makes a difference! Some friends of ours purchased their TT about the same time we did back in 09. They kept theirs plugged in all the time, and we only turned ours on when needed. Six years later they both were working fine.
- ScottGNomadOurs is on the entire season.
When I had a cooling unit rebuilt yearsago, they told me it was more common for "weekend warriors" (their words) to have their cooling unit fail because the turn them on and off between trips. They believe this extreme temperature cycling causes cracking.
