Going to install led light under the side of the camper and I got a set of 110v set from lowes today and I'm second guessing myself and thinking about 12v. Also how hard would it be to run a new outlet from the outside outlet to a new one in the basement ?

I ended up not using the lows kit. I got the kit off amazon. I love the amazon kit and its a lot cheaper too. I also ran an outlet to the basement. I just don't know if I'm going to keep it 110 or 12v. I'll post pictures next time we go camping.

If you decide to go 12v, I just cut the end off the wire that plugs into the inverter and then hard wired it. Very simple.

I just recently did this project and bought everything from Amazon. Two 16' LED Tapes, Remote Control, Y Splitter & a 3 meter extension cord all for $68. The tape was listed as 110v but it was all actually 12v and it came with a power adapter to use as 110v. I just installed w/o power adapter and it works great as a 12v system!

Mine is 110 also. Mounted under the awning...power cord runs along the awning arm down the side of the 5ver. Mounted another electric box in the side compartment and the cord runs into the 5ver in a small hole I put in the bottom of the compartment. Plugged into a timer.

Look at the transformer to see what the output voltage is. If its 12v, you an wire it direct. Take a look at this
