- PilotEdExplorerJust recently returned from a trip that I used my new Anderson camper levelers. My RV spot was uneven on gravel. It took me two tries of in and out of the truck to get the proper level, by myself. Why didn't I think of these years ago, the best accessory I've bought this year.
- oh_boyExplorerI use plywood planks, stackable, all 15 inches long and beveled.. I have 1/2 and 3/4 thick (8)and 4 2x10 same size. The ply's fit behind the tool box, and the 2x10's inside. Gave up the long planks years ago. Gives me a nice flat spread out base.
- QuartermoonExplorerDitto on the yellow lego-type things. Much lighter and they fit nicely into a little space in the belly box. Plus, in between camping trips it's less likely that someone will come along and say "ah, there a piece of scrap wood I can use." Some of these state parks in Texas require 2-3 high on one side.

We'll be taking off shortly in a new to us 5'ver for an extended time. I figure two 2x8x6 foot should do the trick for leveling.
My old RV was a MH with levelers, so I never thought about it much before.
"Collection" of foot long 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 (stored in a milk crate).
Handy for anything & everything.
No need for the five or six foot lengths - just leave the appropriate space (between the wheels) with the shorter ones.
I gave my "lego" style Lynx Levelers to my neighbor.
Should have known better, LOL! - used the wood for years with TTs..:R

If they are too tight to fit the level between the tires why not just drive the back or front tire on a 2 x 6 x6" to lift the tire and allow you to slip the edge of the leveler under the tire?
I am thinking about getting a set but they would be tight.
I Thought this might work without having to trim off the front of the leveler?
Has anyone tried that? - Cummins12V98Explorer III

I just watched the video. So ya think you will be able to get that second piece jambed tight enough so it won't roll back any? Maybe on concrete with using a hammer to tap into place. Also I don't think I want someone sitting in the truck with their foot on the brake while I have my hands down there placing and trying to get the second pc tight.
LOOKS like a good idea until you think about it! Not for me.
Look closer, they're grooved. Better to see one and then comment.
Think about the fact that when the RV is sitting on one it has a few thousand pounds sitting on it. So when you are on anything other than smooth concrete you can't put the wedge in tight enough so it won't roll backwards. I did not say it would come apart.
I do understand how they work so I will comment.
I stand behind everything I have said. - MNRonExplorerI have 3 2x8" or 2x10" green treated boards about 4-5ft long - routered out hand-holds along sides for grips as well as to save weight. Also slanted lead edges and put locator pins/holes to keep them aligned if stacking. They work great. I also have a few 10x10 pieces for under the jacks etc.
After looking at the Andersen Levelers I'm really tempted to save some space and weight. My 5er has ~32" diameter tires approx. 1" apart so I sent a question to Andersen, they sent back some diagrams and info that makes me confident they can be made to work for me...added them onto my list for some future upgrade... :) - avvidclif1Explorer

I like the fact that they are a decent chock as well as a leveler. What don't like is that it requires two people working together and I don't want anything that I can't do alone. I'm also offended by the price of a couple pieces of injection molded plastic.
- AllworthExplorer II4 each 2x10, 16" long with beveled ends; 10 each 12" sections of 4x4 fence post to put under jack feet. (2 per jack and 2 spare) throw them in the bed in front of the hitch or stick them in a 5 gallon bucket in the bed.
