Lifting Fifth Wheel Hitch

New to the site so please excuse me if I screw up.
I am trying to locate a Kingpin adapter to help me lift my Hijacker in and out of my f250. I have heard that Demco makes one but I was wondering if anyone else does.

I didn't want to imply that I had an objection to hanging the hitch from the kinpin, just that I personally didn't like it.

Make one. Your pin is 2" diameter. A piece of 1-1/2" pipe is 1-7/8" diameter. Use your imagination from there.

Lifting it with the fiver is a good option. Only reason I don't do it is where I park the fiver. Fortunately I have a well designed hitch and can still lift it by myself.

Some people do leave the hitch hanging from the kingpin once it is in the bed and just lift it high enough to drive out from under it. I did it one year but all that weight hanging from the 5ver just made me nervous. So I don't anymore.

I do have a couple of 2x8's that can be used to make a ramp into the truck bed where you can push the hitch bottom up the ramp. The top can just be picked up more easily.

The pin box/king pin can easily handle the weight of the hitch hanging from it......when hooked up there is 3000# PLUS King Pin handles full weight of 5vr as it is jerked back/forth

I looked around when I got my hitch and didn't find anything else, so I forked out the forty-something dollars for theirs. I have their Ram puck system picture frame with it and yanked the whole thing out at once. Just took it out for the first time the other day after being in the truck for a year and a half.

Never heard of one. My Hyjacker come apart into two pieces. I can even at 72 lift it oit myself. If your not capable just but a cheap cable winch for less than 50 dollars from Harbor Freight and a short tow strap. Thats all you need.
