Love seat that turns into air bed replacement ideas

So we've been remodeling the house we bought last fall and with the kitchen down to studs we're happy to cook and watch TV out in the fiver.

We have a love seat sized couch that folds out into a air bed with the air pump on a wired remote, I camp out on the recliner but the wife likes the couch, problem is there's a bar that hit's her in the back after half a movie or so.

She would like to replace it, I just think it could use an extra pad but she's looking at things like IKEA to replace it with, I think it's better to have the style that bolts down, she's not a fan of the maroon or plum color.

Have any of you upgraded a piece of furniture like this? did you stay with an RV style or try to put a home furnishing in an RV?

Not sure what to do, it is uncomfortable after a while so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I got a serta air mattress with the 'never flat' system and I was surprised how comfortable it is. Fast setup, fast deflate. I snore and the dog sleeps with me so I guess you guys can figure out the rest, lol.

Yes, this is what we have, it came with two recliners so that works great for me but she's a couch person when it comes to relaxing.

I really don't think we need it as a bed so the idea of using the air mattress when company comes might be a good trade off.

We found it much easier to just blow up the mattress and lay it on the floor of the camper. Works much better, no lumps or bumps. We use it this way for our grand kids. One can still sleep on love seat, 2 on the blow up mattress and one at each end of the normal couch.

Yes, we replaced the kitchen table, kitchen chairs, and 2 rockers for a full size, 3 person, recliner couch. We never used the table for anything except a catch all anyway.

I replaced our sleeper love seat with a plain love seat. Anyone want to spend the night they can bring their own air mattress or find a motel.

Anything that fits is fine. RV furniture sucks for the most part. Find something you like and run with it.

We swapped out our hide a bed couch in the FW with a Havertys leather couch. It has power recliners and is extremely comfortable. Double check your measurements and go shopping.

I'm 6'4" and none of stock RV furniture works very well for me. I moved my worthless couch/love seat into house and put a nice Euro recliner and ottoman. I love having a nice piece of furniture I can use. I don't need the sleeping capacity and can't imagine many times when two people sit on the love seat together. It was mainly just a collector area for things people wanted to drop.

With a lot of the newer furniture, the backs slip up and off to fit in packaging and through doorways.

I found a video of a similar model, just a slightly newer design.

The arms are attached to the floor somehow but the couch is uncomfortable, air bed is fine (for Guests)

I guess a traditional love seat/folding bed should work if I can get it through the door...

Many regular home furniture items will work fine in an RV. We replaced our sofa with a leather recliner sofa we got from Costco. Fit perfect and was a cinch to get into the trailer because the backs come off easily.
Just measure your existing item and then go shopping with tape measure in hand. 🙂

By the way, none of our sitting furniture has been bolted or screwed down in all the years we have been RVing. The only thing bolted down is the dining table.
