My wife and I are retired and would like to look at purchasing an older 5er. I would like to have a king bed as in our travel trailer we had a queen and we all know that a queen camper is nothing like a queen bed at home. In many of the ads they list queens. With my preference being the king I would only like to look at mfg's that have that. We are looking at late 90's and early 2000's. Can anyone out there help me.

Not sure how far back they go, but our 2007 Montana has a king bed. I think they put them in earlier years also, as an option.

My 2004 Mobile Suites had a king, we ended up replacing the mattress with a Bed in a Box, loved it. King was an option in 2004.

A regular home style queen is 60 x 80 and RV queen is 60 x 75. Our 2005 KZ Durango had a 60 x 80 and our 2014 Flex also has the full-size queen. So there are trailers with the large queen but there are a lot of the shorty's out there.

Our current MS has an RV king (72"x80") bed with shelves on either side as well as electrical outlets and light switches, but our dealer orders all his stock DRVs with that configuration. I guess he sets them up for customers who use a CPAP just in case....

Non-existent night stands, but OK with us.

OP - some brands will have outdated floor plans available to view on their web sites.

A night stand and full size queen were a necessity for us when we were looking. Most of the king size beds we saw didn't have a true night stand but a shelf. Our 5th wheel has a night stand with drawers and a 60x80 queen.

06 bighorn had standard king. We paid $150 extra for a queen and a night stand. Our current unit has a full size queen.

If you want nightstands, you may not get them with a king size bed. Our HitchHiker came with a standard size queen mattress which we eliminated. We bought our own queen mattress since most RV mattresses are terrible. We wanted night stands as spouse has a CPAP.

Our '06 Silverback came w/ a 60x 80 queen and king was an option. If you replace the queen w a king, I'd think you'd have to make sure the base is wide and long enough if it came w/ a short queen to support the additional size of the king. Probly not hard to do, just some measuring and trip to lumber yard.

Our 07 Keystone Everest has a 72x 80 king bed. It's a true walkaround, meaning you don't have to walk sideways.
