All the newer rigs have 30 "wide openings I'm looking to fit one in a 24 "wide opening. the range/ can be convection as well as microwave. Anybody else have this problem?. I don't want to cut the ex...

My old one is metal on the bottom with charcoal filters and is open on the bottom( boxed in on top and sides only) so I'm worried about the heat from the range if I just put a counter top in place
