Could you explain how you would run an inverter for the fridge. We thought if it was unopened for the 4 or 5 hours while travelling that it would stay cold enough.
If the fridge is already cold it will stay cold for the 4 to 5 hour drive. I done this with our travel trailer in the summer a few times without a problem.
Hooking up an inverter, run power wires directly from the battery using the shortest run possible. I like using a inverter because we often drive 12 hours plus. Our last drive home took 17 hours though I not sure why it took so long.
There are many threads on installing an inverter in this forum, including the one where they explain what I was doing wrong. ??
