Mobile Inspection Service?

I'm buying a 5er from a 3rd party and don't know much about them, but I'm going to spend a lot of time in this one and want to make sure I'm not buying a lemon or that there is anything major wrong with it.
I'm in New Jersey if that matters.
Do you guys know of any mobile RV inspectors (maybe nationally) that are worth the money?
  • As inspectors give no warranty or even reimbursement for items they miss, you would be better served getting a GOOD mobile repair mechanic to go over it for you. If anything is found the mobile mechanic should be able to give you a repair cost.
  • I agree with the above 100%. A good RV tech is worth the cost.
  • Not a bad idea to get it looked over but realize the limitations going in. Many RV problems don't occur until something is used a certain way or for a given amount of time. And, of course, a lot of things are just intermittent.
  • Use a PDI list and have the mobile guy go over everything. Ideal situation would agree on a price based on taking the rv to a cg for one night to check all systems.

Totally agree with all of the above, talk to people in your area to find a reliable RV tech and have him go over it with a fine tooth comb. Most people on here will tell you even NEW RVs have problems but at least you'll have peace of mind that somebody in the know looked at your unit.
