Mobile Suites "entertainment system" woofer question

My MS has a Sony home entertainment system. There is a switch in the closet by the entry door for a "Bass speaker on/off". I cannot get any base sound let alone locate a woofer/bass speaker? Wazzup? Thanks

    so....did you find the sub-woofer ?

No yet, it has been to hot here to fool with the trailer. But thanks everyone. I'll first see if I can make sure the woofer is turned on.
  • My sub woofer is in the cabinet where the fireplace would go if we had one. Ours quit working so I had it checked at Best Buy and it is good. Our MS is a 07.5 36 SB3.

Do I have a switch somewhere?
  • If you have a fireplace it is behind it. If you need to access it the fireplace must come out.

If all else fails, follow the wires.
Oh, if only it were that easy. My subwoofer wires disappear out the back of the sound system never to appear again (without disassembling stuff). :)
  • I'll look a little more thoroughly. Thanks all. The system sounds pretty poor with little or no base. I think there are two Sony systems, one a little higher scale than the other. I would think any system would have a sub woofer regardless.
  • Your sub-woofer should be in the Desk area of your TK3, way back in the left rear corner.

  • If all else fails, follow the wires. Had it happen in first 5er. Solar panel on roof. Wires going down. Not connected to anything in basement. No controller installed either.

You would think that they would hook up the sound system first so that they can listen to some tunes while the rest is being finished off.
  • Different rigs but my subwoofer is under the stairs leading up to the 'loo. I had to ask the manufacturer. :)
  • The on/off switch only turns on/off the power to the subwoofer. You also need to select the subwoofer in your entertainment systems settings. This is normally done through onscreen menus. On some systems you need to select surround sound to enable all speakers, on others you'll individually select which speakers you want on or off. This varies from one system to another so you'll have to scroll through your settings unless someone here has the identical system.
