Montana vs. bighorn

You will get plenty of feedback on this question. It is like Ford,,Chevy Dodge you will have your loyalists with good reasons

What socoguy said. All comes done to personal opinion. We also have a Montana that we bought new in 2007. As close to trouble free as I could hope for. Considering trading for a new Montana.
Don't know anything about the bighorn.

We have a 2011 Bighorn. Bought it brand new August of 2010. We looked at Montanas at that time and found more features in the Bighorn,better floor plan in the length we wanted, king bed, extra Fantastic fan, larger fridge and water heater. The biggest thing for us was the dealership. The Bighorn was at a local, well established place, while the Montana was at a big box dealership. Bighorns are rated for full time, not sure of Montanas. In the 4 years we've had our Bighorn, we've had no issues other than a cabinet that came off the hinge. Our style of camping is boondocking and we've been on many FS roads, carefully, and we're very pleased with the quality. I would say the Montana is a fine unit, so it boils down to floor plan and price which is also what did it for us.

Bought 2 bighorns and actually looked at more Montana's before we ordered.

We looked at several Montana units, but ordered a Bighorn and have been very satisfied.

Now both are owned by same company anyway. Oh well.

As said - it's like Chevy-Dodge-Ford. There isn't anything Mercedes about either a Montana or a Bighorn. Just go with the one that has the color schemes and layout you like.

It will come down to floor plan and what you are looking for in a 5th wheel.

We had a heartland road warrior the dealer had it 16 0f the 22 months we had it and my wife almost had a breakdown over it. When we got another one it was a Fuzion waaay less problems.

Another question, I see the montana fifth wheels go in the order of high country, then mountaineer, then montana (the best). How do they compare? I don't need a $80,000 fifthwheel for my part time camping needs but coming from a diesel pusher, I still have to wow the wife.
