MORryde step question

We have the MORyde steps. We are staying at a park that has a concrete patio but gravel spot. The patio sits up higher then the gravel spot 4 to 6 inches. I could not park so steps are on the patio because I could not get steps adjusted to be able to close the door.
Next time is there something I can do to make this work?

I thought about replacing them but I would have to cut the skirting directly under the door not wanting to do that.

We have a 2018 Flagstaff 526KSWC that came with MOR/ryde steps with strut assist. This is another example of an interesting idea that was not investigated for real-life use. As you know, unless you are parked on a perfectly straight spot and can fully adjust the steps and the feet, the door will probably not close. Not being able to close the door would not be good in a rainy or snowy situation. We used these steps for three trips and decided that we had enough of this nonsense, so we replaced them with a MOR/ryde two-step model without strut assist. This fit in our door opening without any skirt cutting. The height of our 5th wheel required that we add some plastic leveling blocks under the feet which is fine with us. This may be extreme to some people, but the positives outweighed the negatives.

Ok I don’t understand how that will help!
The concrete pad is higher then the ground so if I park so steps come out on concrete they do not come out far enough to be able to close door.

Only solution I can see is to put boards under tires to raise coach higher before using auto level.

That wouldn't help the OP, his issue is his steps are too high and block the door from closing, not too low and need shimming up.

x2! As I posted on the KZ forum, that's a deal-breaker for any brand that I might consider in the future...unless there's a delete option.

Sadly there's nothing you can do in this situation. All steps that contact the ground have a hard time accommodating this. However, I think the Torklift GlowSteps are a bit more forgiving.

Torklift does make a fold-up step similar to the MorRyde to make replacement easier. I'd guess you could get decent money for your MorRyde steps.
