After 10 years of very successful towing our 5th wheel with a short bed truck with a Pullrite slider hitch we are getting a full bed and staying with Pullrite but not their slider it will be a Super 5th 20K.Couple questions will my backing up be different with this setup? And please tell me that with a full bed there is much less chance of hitting the cab on a severe jack knife that with the short bed.And information will be appreciated.Merry Christmas!

I have a long bed and there is a lot of room between the cab and front of 5er. Would have to jacknife well over 90 to hit. And no reason to ever do that. I had a Pullrite Super 5th 16k and really liked it. If they had had one at the time I bought the 2012 F350 to fit the factory hitch prep I would have bought another.

Just curious why are you switching to a LB?I agree it makes it easier towing but not as good as a driver once you're parked.

I cannot fit a dully in my garage and we thought it was time to upgrade. We are moving from a 2011 3500 SB CC Silverado to a 2016 GMC Denali full bed CC. More space in the bed will be nice. Do we have to no, but since we spend about 4 to 5 months on the road why not enjoy it as much as possible.

Went from F250 to F350 DRW a couple of years ago. Outside of not getting it in the garage, I don't see a lot of down side. I also went from a super glide, but after checking prices I went with B&W puck hitch. I loved the pull right, but after pulling with the B&W I wouldn't go back. Also I could buy it a lot cheaper.

I think you will like the long bed. I know I do. I just park way out in parking lots, although I have put it in a couple of parking garages, when necessary. Never even come close to hitting the cab with 5er.

Once I went with my first long-bed, I never went back to short bed. Its all I buy now.

Just curious. You said a dually won't fit in the garage. The long bed isn't too long, is it? Most typical garages aren't long enough these days. When we built our house, I had my garage plans extended to accommodate a long bed truck.
