A few times I had noticed a little water on things in the basement - not good. So after taking a shower I went out and tracked it down. The water drips from one of the two pex tubes that goes up thru the floor to the rear of the shower and tub you stand in.So now the challenge. I am thinking I will cut out a small viewing access hole in the floor where the tubes go thru and then try to look up inside to see where the leak is.Has anyone got experience on working on the pipes behind the shower?

After the first few times using the shower in my new FW, I had a few little leaks. I noticed that the faucet was not sealed perfectly to the sub housing, that attached to the shower wall. I took everthing apart to see if any water had gotten behind the actual wall. It was fine, but there was water between the housing and wall, that if let go, would have eventually spilled over behind the wall.I also noticed that the black flush backflow preventer was located behind the shower wall. It had pex lines near the pex for the faucets. All this in a small space, with not much extra length in the pex.I did get everything resealed, and no more problems. If that black flush valve ever needs replacing, it will require some pretty raw language, to get that job done.I'd try to look in the opening, after removing the shower faucet, before cutting a hole in the floor.Good luck Dave!!Jerry

When I bought my Prowler it leaked behind the shower as the fittings on the back of the faucet came loose. thankfully it was on an outside wall and there was an access door. Two minutes to fix. If it were me I would make an access door as it may come in handy.

Luckily my fifth wheel has an access panel for the shower fittings on the wall behind the shower. Hopefully yours does too.Good luckBrenda

Check from the front inside the shower stall. Some have a panel the faucet is mounted to. It can be removed to gain access to the back.

Glad you got it fixed. For future info, if you ever need to cut an access hole in a shower wall, you can use a marine deck plate to cover the hole. They permanently mount with sealant and screws and the center allows you to unscrew the plug. Water tight and makes a professional looking access hole. Do a google search or an Amazon search for JR Products 31025 White 5" Access/Deck Plate

I bet you feel and sleep better now that you figured out the problem.

I have been chasing a leak. Started on top and fixed every possible point of entry. Roof seal, running lights, cargo door, repaired slide seal. Finaly kept getting water in the floor and found the sleave where the gally sink enters the rear holding tank had a split in it. I am now waiting for the parts to arive to fix that and then I can repair the floor.

Yes that happened to me and turned out to be the back of the faucet was leaking. Replaced the faucet and the leak stopped.

Looks like I was making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Your replies helped me get my grey matter turned on. The darn tub faucets were screwed onto the inside shower wall with 4 screws and zero sealer around the assy. Water was running down the wall, behind the faucet assy and then dripping off the pex tubes down in the basement.

Your BR wall access hole could also probably be covered with a full length mirror. Your wife would like that!

:S Gees, it looks like I was dumb in public. looks like the tub faucets do come off from the inside of the tub.

Might have to do a little cut and pasting to get the line clearance I need. Will tear into it today.

It isn’t very difficult to cut an SRAIGHT SIDED (90 degree corners) access hole in the BR wall (be sure to make it big enough the first time) then a few pieces of trim molding to finish and you have a readymade access if it is ever needed again.

Remember to measure twice or even three times and cut once!

I had this same same issue in my MH... 2min Fix

I also had a leak under the shower pan. I did cut an access panel and covered it with a vent small air vent from home depot, it actually looks factory... 2hr fix
