Need Crown Molding install help

I have a piece of crown molding that came off and another piece working lose. Not sure how to reinstall. I think original was stapled up with a power stapler which I don't have. Has anybody run into this and have ideas to help. I thought perhaps a vinyl caulk would work to glue it up and give it some flexibility while traveling.

The "Big Box" hardware/lumber stores probably have the electric staplers for rent.I know that they have quite a selection of rental tools available

Some of the same as everyone else said.

I used liquid nails the propped it into location using a 1x whatever length you need. I then shot in a couple of 3/4 finish nails. So far it's traveled 3,500+ miles and still in place.

Usually there is a space behind crown molding and you could install a filler first with what ever you can to attach it. Then pin nail the crown molding into the filler wood.

My concern for finishing nails was what was there to nail into. The staples went in to something but they pulled out also. That's why I thought a glue might be best. You have all given some good suggestions. Thank you.

Caulk might not stay long, but Liquid Nails or DAP make construction adhesives that will quick-grab and basically hold forever.

(Don't get them on anything that you don't want glued.)((Or where your wife will see it on the carpet.))

There is a product here in Canada called No Nails..a glue of sorts I guess, it is what I would use.

I had a piece of side moulding come loose on me... mine is about 6" wide...I used a small brown head wood screw.... it worked

No power stabler, no power nailer.......then do it the old fashioned way.
Hammer, finish nails, nail setter, caulking over nail hole then bead of caulking along edge/joints.

Locktite has a tube of glue works really good look at Walmart in the caulking section
