There is no service that can be done short of replacing them every so many years,It takes a shop and bearing press to do the job. You can lift a wheel and see if there is any movement in the bearing, should not be any, I always check the temps of the hubs at every stop to make sure I don't have one running hot.

Many Titanium owners have blown Never-Lubes. Glendale installed offset rims on some Ti's. Offsets are a big No-No according to Dexter.

Almost all have been able to replace a complete hub/bearing assembly without having to mess with the axle. Unless you had subsequent damage, I don't understand replacing an axle just because of a bad bearing even if the bearing bushed out the hub. I would personally call Dexter customer service and confirm that a new axle is the only solution.

(I and several other Ti owners completely replaced my Never-Lubes with axles equipped with EZ-Lube bearings, which are serviceable. Dexter had at one time a program for Titanium owners to cover most of the cost of changing out the entire axle setup.)

I have never lubes and wouldn't be without them. They will often start to leak fluid when they start to go. I travel too much to be packing bearing all the time.

I echo the earlier poster about checking with Dexter...a new axle isn't part of the process in any case I've ever heard of.

Dexter web site has a process to check the bearings.

I have the Never Lube bearings in the 06 HR in my sig. and have never had a problem...hope I won't any time soon either :)

Nev R Lube bearings on my 07 Alpenlite. Estimated 70-80K miles on them. Have a quick feel at every stop if been running at speed for awhile. The warrantee says 100K miles. Dexter says should be trouble free for at least 150K miles.

That does not mean forget them. Check for play whenever a wheel is off the ground & check for leaks. Warning signs.

I have them, spring of 2012 going home I had a bearing failure 50 miles south of Atlanta, we spent a week waiting for Dexter to send parts. The warranty is 100.000 miles or 5 years,,,B.S.,,we had 5 years and 20.000 miles, that bearing failed costing us over $2.000 US. This fall I replaced the other three bearings (Dexter gave me a slight break on the cost, whoopee)and the bearing in front of the one which failed was soon to fail, from now on EVERY fall before leaving I jack up every tire,remove everything down to the hub and visually check those bearings for grease spot leaks, by the way Dexter now has the 50MM sealed bearings by Timken now made in China instead of France, like I said, every fall I strip them down and inspect them, I don't trust these Nev-R-Lube bearings any farther than I can throw my truck!!!!!

100,000 miles/7 yrs. on mine.
No problems.

I check them at each stop (rest area/lunch break/fuel) with an IR Thermometer.
I get a reading right at transition to drum.
Highest temp I've seen is 131*F on a hot summer day.

I just replaced two bearings because of a small amount of grease leaking thru the seal. 8 years of use and about 60,000 miles. I bought the two bearings from "e trailer" and had the local garage press then in. Total cost was about $280. I like the NevRlubes.

My 5er goes in next month for a pre trip inspection and the 1st thing I told the 5er mechanic was to check the never lubes. I had it done once before and one bearing had to be replaced. I don't trust them either.
