Here is my experience from just ordering another one.
First of all, cash isn't king. They don't want your cash. They want you to finance.
Second if you order one you can't get (at least I can't at my dealer) as good of a discount as if you buy one off of the lot. They tell me that when they buy them one at a time it costs them more per unit than to order several at once. I am not sure if this is true or not.

There is a good chance that the dealer will have to have the factory make it for us.
Careful with that. When you have the dealer order from the factory when that particular units shows up......thats your unit. If it arrives and is a hastily assembled POS then that opens up a whole can of worms. First off its probably going to take between 6 to 10 weeks or longer. If it arrives, is built like ****, and you decide not to accept it, then you are at square one. Either let them attempt repairs before you own it, or reject it and start over by having them order another from the factory essentially resetting the clock. Believe me it can happen.
It is much better to find an "in stock" unit on the lot where you can go over it with a fine tooth comb before committing.
Another title for this post could be "How it took 8 months to buy a new trailer" LOL!
P.S. If you do have a dealer order from the factory they are most likely going to want some type of deposit. Make sure its refundable should the above happen and make sure you get that in writing signed off on by the general manager or owner, not the salesman.

Kz (https://www.kz-rv.com/) gives 2 year warranties on their products no questions asked, as stated make sure the dealer you buy from has a good service reputation otherwise you might just buy 300 or 400 miles away at one that has a good service department an save the $$$$
Kz service department will steer you to a servicing dealer if you are 150 miles away from your servicing dealer an not put you to the back of the line ...
When we bought are G284FLT 5th wheel we got 30 percent off MSRP plus a number of perks like a new MorRyde king 20k box, upgraded TV antenna an winterized free of charge since we bought in January an the dealer had De-winterized the unit to shows us everything worked an had no leaks ...

What do you pay for a new RV. We are looking at getting a 2018 5th wheel. There is a good chance that the dealer will have to have the factory make it for us. We will pay cash which means it won't be sitting on their lot for a period of time. What is the % off of MSRP that we should look for?
