new 5th wheel

Bought a 2015 Keystone Montana Mountaineer 356TBF this week from camping world Myrtle Beach,SC. I currently have a 2013 F250 6.7l diesel with Firestone airbags and a B&W Companion 20k hitch (non slider) Pics soon to follow and once loaded down for vacation gonna hit the CAT scale down the road from the house.Yes I know it is TOO MUCH PIN WEIGHT. I plan on stepping up to a 350 next year. I pulled it from the dealership to the house (2.5 hrs away) No problems pulling but I could tell it was back there once it was time to stop. I weighed my truck this year on the scales and it was 8,540 gross,4,880 steer axle and 3,660 drive axle. That was just me,hitch,full tank of fuel and 30gallons in the aux tank. Once I get her loaded and weighed I will post on the apropriate forum. But it pulled fine nothing went wrong, my axles didnt split in half. But yeah I knew it was back there. F350 in my future.

    Heck I know mine is back there,I know its just a saying -"don't know its back there"-
    but if that were true I would worry about the guy saying that.:C

    If you are thinking 350 srw then you may want to first consider just adding the 350 rear spring pack to you 250. That is really the only mechanical difference in the two. And that can be accomplished for under $500...

    65psi is not enough air pressure.
    I will have to check on that. I had planned on bringing them up to max. Actually I have them at 70psi not 65

    80psi max is what my tire rating says. I have them at 65psi right now.

    Congrats on the new RV!
    New toys are always FUN.

    Load it up and hit the scales.......

    Dry pin weight is 2350#
    Wet pin is going to be close to 3000# or more

    So watch the weight on rear tires.
    Probably over on GVWR/RAWR..but them tires would be my first concern.
