6.2L option doesn't increase your payload rating which is your limiting factor when it comes to towing a 5er. Salesman is a bonehead like most. Do your own research and number crunching. THe only numbers those guys know how to crunch is what they want to get out of your wallet.

2500HD Silverados are already shipping. Saw a couple at my local dealer last week. You can see specs and do "Build and Price" here.

Double Cab, standard box, 6.0L gas, 2x4 shows 3671 lbs payload, 14,500 lbs "max 5th wheel", 20500 lbs Gross Combined Weight. I'm figuring it should be able to handle most 5ers up to 11-12K gross weight without exceeding either RAWR or GCWR.

Nice truck! I have never seen an F150 Max Payload in person. And I count the lugs on just about every F150 I come across. That's a really rare option.

Around here it seems that the dealers will stock the Max Tow package....but not max tow and max payload.

Add the HD Tow package and you'll handle smaller 5ers with comfort.

Here's my 1/2 ton grocery getter with the last 2400 lb load of wood pellets. You can spec a 1/2 ton to haul but I don't think the High Country is the right package.

Max toungue weight of 500 lbs? I bet theres not a fiver made out there with a pin of 500 or less. As everyone else states, nothing more than a grocery getter.
