- VeebyesExplorer IINothing beats a good inspection starting with the frame & how the running gear is attatched to it. Then it is a look in the basement to see how neat & tidy the wiring has been done. If all looks good after the how it is made stuff is looked at then go inside & start counting TVs, fabric colours & all the fluffy stuff.
- luckeydrExplorerI have looked at many trailers and I like what I have seen and read. In fact, I pick up my new Reflection 303RLS tomorrow, Tuesday April 8. There are not many constants in this world, sunrise, sunset, birth, death, taxes, all else is a******shoot. I don't want to sound contrite, but you take a chance with just about anything you buy now. Major components are all the same on trailers, you are looking at the reputation of the company for guidance. Grand Design has a good reputation and customer service reputation, they seem to go out of their way to help solve any issues. Dealers are the one thing that will make or break a manufacturer.
- donn0128Explorer IILots of glitter, but holy******there is no, zip zero nada counter space in the kitchens. Since we cook and live in our fiver we like decent counter space.
- Jim-LindaExplorer IIWe spent 3 years on vacations touring Trailers manuf. to observe building methods before we bought. If you can't do that, go to every RV show you can and crawl under, over, open every drawer, door etc. Sit on the pot, get in shower, "cook" a meal, "watch" TV and every other thing you would do.

Don't see this, as there is counter space next to cookstove, counter space either side of the sink island, and whole wall length counter space at the front hutch. More counter space than my current trailer has, at least double the amount. Maybe because we cook outside as much as we can, we just don't see the issue you do. I have a rather large kitchen counter space in my residental home, and I never have enough counter space when I cook. :) - azdryheatExplorerI almost bought a Grand Design Momentum. It looks like a well built unit.

Had a look at the floorplans & have to agree. No working room in the galley, even the big one. Looks like most potential counter space was sacrificed for the big screen TV.
In the specs they only have a 60gal freshwater tank. Not much use if you are going to to do 3 night or longer dry camping events where there are no bathrooms nearby.
Lots of fluff.
Here. THIS is counter space.
At model length 34, LOA <36' it is not a monster trailer either. - TucsonJimExplorer III purchased a Grand Design Reflection a couple of weeks ago. Model 337RLS. There is no issue what-so-ever for counter space. As previously mentioned, the Island, stove area and hutch provide more counter space that I've ever had in previous units.
We picked our unit up and just finished our first shake down. We had very few issues. This unit is built so much better than our previous Keystone Cougar which was a disaster.
If you have any questions about the build, quality or features, send me a PM.
Jim - GsportExplorerRight now we are in our 3rd week of a 4 week road trip (about 3,000 miles so far) in our 39' Grand Design Solitude. We've had our unit for over a year now (unit #107) and absolutely love it. It has plenty of counter space and a huge pantry. I'd tell you my favorite feature, but there is so many. I'm 6'3" and like having the tall, 7' slides, taller/wider entrance door, king size bed, large shower, on and on. A super treat is the 6 point auto leveling system. I think I've found my perfect 5th wheel
- glazierExplorer III really like the floor plan in ours, I see no problem with counter space. I had zero problems buying a Grand Design from my dealer, they would not put us in a piece of junk. How well do you know your dealer? Service after the sale is important, trusting your dealer is the most important. All builders of fifth wheels us like components, choose the best fit for you.
