New Goodyear Trailer Tire - Endurance - Made In America

I put them on my boat trailer. Had off brand tires before, boat towed fine behind my 3500, not very well behind my Yukon.

Did a 1000 mile trip a few weeks ago, used the Yukon, and the difference was night and day. Old tires, I had more trailer sway than I wanted at 65. New tires towed great, even at 75 MPH.

So far, I am very pleased.

The Goodyear Endurance 16" ST E 80 psi or any brand ST poly carcass tire doesn't compare to a Sailun S637 16" ST G 4080-4400 lb capacity/110 psi commercial grade all steel ply carcass made for the regional service trailer industry. Other than round and black thats about all they have in common.

The higher speed ratings isn't about driving faster but more about the tires ability to cope with internal heat at highway speeds.

Actually my GY marathons were load range E and were on a travel trailer that weighed just under 9k lbs. One trip I lost 2 tires, left road gators all over the highway!

I do hope these new ones work out for you guys and please do let us know in a year or 2. It would be great to have some competition for decent tires at a mid price point.

I know this is 5th wheel forum and I'm running a TT, but it is a 9500 GVWR TT. Anyway, I bought GY Marathons (LR D) 5 years ago but made sure the ones I bought were USA made. Had 0 problems with those but because of age, got them replaced just a couple months ago. Went with GY Endurance (LR E) because of the USA made, higher speed rating and Discount Tire online had a $100/set discount and the set I got were all manufactured in March 2017. I suppose posting to this thread was because wanted to mention these are tires that will not have been sitting around for a year or two if you do order them. They should all be very new.

Just did my first major tow and no problems to report. Seems the higher pressure on the E versus D load tires make the TT roll slightly better (might be only in my head though). Time will tell but hopefully I will have 0 problems with this set too.

Cant wait to see you doing 87 towing lol but then again I hit 80 once before I noticed

These are a new line of tires for which there is very little real world experience.

I total agree. I love my Sailuns. They look as tough as a semi trailer and I plan on having for quite some time.

It's nice to see an American made option.

Well I am going to be a guinea pig I just ordered a set of them last night. The weight rating is substantially higher than my current tires though I did go up in size. They do have a speed rating of N which is 87mph and they also have a load inflation table which I have not seen previously on at least the trailer tires I have used in the past. We shall see what happens over the next few years.

We had Goodyear Marathons Load Range E on our rig. Had a blow-out on I-95. Didn't have any knowledge regarding other tires and replaced with GY Marathons - 2 other tires has separation. This was two years ago. Before our recent trip south, we replaced the Marathons with Sailuns. These are a Load range G tire with a speed rating of 75 mph. The handling was much better with the heavier tire and more reserve capacity that we apparently needed. The best thing - the Sailuns were about the same money as the Goodyears.

after my last trailer and good year tire experience I wasn't comfortable giving them money again and went with sailun tires.

I do hope the good years work out and would love to hear a review of them in a couple years.
