We have a 2013 Montana Mountaineer 346lbq and had not one but two blowouts on the way back from Maryland back in June. They were Goodyear Marathons and Goodyear has sent us the check for the repairs plus extra to buy 2 new tires. After much research I decided on the Sailun S637 G rated tires. I did get the ST235-85r16 and the original tires were ST235-80r16. The new ones are .9" taller and I still have plenty of clearance between the tires and above the tires. The guys at the tire store even made comments about how much heavier and stiffer they were than the Marathons they took off. I'll be sure to post how they are doing after some trips next year as it is now going in for the repairs and probably parked for the winter after that. Here are a couple of pictures.

From what "dealer" did you get them? Maybe in my future. I notice they make a 235 80R 16 now.

GCR Tire. $695 mounted and balanced for four. I asked and they couldn't get the 80 profile, maybe I could have waited, but, the 85 profile fit fine and still plenty of room for my Bal X-chocks. The company I work for gets a 10% discount with GCR. Also, date code was 31st week of this year so fairly new tires.

Thanks... I have been working with Big O tires and they are having trouble quoting the 80 profile. Maybe I'll see what they can do on the 85 since it is not much difference and I have the room anyway.

This is from their website where I saw the 80 series. After looking at it again tonight I noticed it is their Canadian website. Maybe they're not imported into the US.

All reports have been good on the Sailun tires, if this continues I will definitely look at them next time.

Also, found this interesting. Notice the difference in the load ratings between the Canadian and US websites. 3750 US vs 4080 Canadian. The tread depth is different also 12/32 vs 10/32.

I think the US site has the old Lt235/85R16G's which is phasing out.

Canadian is the new ST's, and the 80 series may not be in the pipeline yet.. Chris

Just put four S637's on our 2012 Montana Mountaineer. Leaving for Mexico January first. Should have an opinion on them when we return.
