Our Norcold, double wide refrigerator has a puddle of water under it every morning. The manual address this issue at all. Can any of you help us out here? We don't know what to do next. Thanks.

Is this an ice tray? Are you saying the ice maker is the problem?

The tray is the water catcher under the fins in the top back of fridge.
Why would there be ice in it?

Ice in it means that the drain line out the back is clogged and the water stays in the tray. The TEMP of the fins is 10 degrees colder than the refer. So, if your refer temp is 36 degrees, the fins are 24 to 26 degrees which is freezing. So, the water does NOT drain and then it freezes. Norcold refers have a "defroster" circuit for the refer, NOT the freezer. That means if the refer is left ON for more than 48 hours, the refer shuts down for a few hours and this allows any Ice/frost on the evap fins to melt and then drain into the catch pan. If left ON this cycle will repeat every 48 to 54 hours. If you do NOT want this cycle to operate, all you have to do is turn the refer Off and then back on once a day. NOW, the usual cause of a Evap drain tube clogged is there is a small plastic check valve on the end of the hose going into the burner mounted drain cup. You just remove the check valve and clean it out and reinstall. Doug

Good question. Mine freezes up occasionally too. I turn down the temp in fridge and it helps. also tried adjusting the thermo slide on the fin, still got ice. I keep an eye on it and take it out to dump the ice out when it freezes over.

^^The ice thing is not making sense, but otherwise, it seems that the drain hose was never installed when new, or broken off up above, fell off. The factory hoses, like mine, are cheap plastic, get brittle from sun, break easily. Mine is a Dometic, and works very well.

Many fridges would have to be at least, partially removed, to gain access to hose attachment. Often times, not just a simple add a hose, to an easy to reach spigot.

When I purchased my FW new from dealer, there was no visible hose. I did transfer from old FW, to new, right on the dealer lot, as I was camped 250 miles from home, where the dealer was located. I needed the new fridge operating on propane at switching time, and looked at outside cover for drain hose. I had to remove cover, found hose coiled back behind, out of sight.

Go to a RV place and get some drain tube hose. Worse case senerio, and temp solution, put a windshield washer hose on it for now. At least it should drain out til better fix can be had. You should also be able to access the rear of the fridge drain tray hose outlet and attach some hose as most exit thru the a hole in large cover that you removed.

Can you post a pic of the outside view? I'm surprised you can't find it.

I spoke too soon. This problem is still a problem same as before. The tray fills up with ice and then water spills over and lands on the floor. The back of the tray is definitely lined up with the outlet tube.
When we open the outside access to the back of the frig, we can see no drain tube/hose etc. We can see nothing that looks like some kind of drain. Short of pulling the refrigerator out of the trailer and getting behind it, we don't know what to do next. Does anyone have a good idea how we ought to proceed?

I have the same problem. The door gasket is cracked and not sealing properly causing condensation on the inside top of the fridge. That condensation drips and finds its way out the front of the door and onto the floor. As near as I can find out, the door gasket is not available for purchase - you have to purchase the whole door.

Verify that the defrost drip tube is positioned in the drip tray. Open the lower rear outside panel of the refrigerator to access the drip tray and tube.

Also, look inside the fridge and make sure the other end of the tube is connected to the bottom of the inside drip tray.
