Opinions on Jayco 325BHQS ?

My wife and I have outgrown our AF30U in the sense that the floorplan no longer works for us.

We are considering moving up to a fifth wheel rather than a bumper pull this time and one of the floorplans we really like is the 2016 Jayco 325BHQS.

Our tow vehicle is a 2009 F350.

I've never owned a fifth wheel before so I don't know much about hitches.

I'm also wondering what people who have purchased the jayco bunkhouse models think of them.

I've looked at the Jayco website and we would be ordering this as a custom order. I can't find one to look at.

If you were ordering a new Jayco product what options would you spec it out with and why? Would It be best to get the TV's installed at the factory or should I just purchase my own and install them myself?

Would you get the larger fridge or just the standard?

We definatley want the free standing table and chairs. I'll probably skip the dual AC and dual pane glass.

Is Jayco's tire upgrade worth it to the Maxxis tires or is the standard 10-Ply tire fine?

I'm also wondering for those of you who may have this floorplan if you have any regrets after purchasing it. One of my concerns is the fact that there is a slide on the entry side of the trailer and wondering how that affects you.

The other model we are looking at is the 345BHTS.

    If you're planing on ordering you will be ordering a 2017 now. The color is changed and other enhancements/changes.

    I can't really give you any feedback on that particular model but I think once you hit about 30' fifth wheels start to make a lot more sense than travel trailers. They give you a shorter overall package, they pull better and the extra ceiling height is really nice.

    Your truck probably doesn't have factory pucks so you're two options are adding a gooseneck ball and using a turnover ball style hitch that sits in your bed (ie, Andersen Ultimate or B&W Companion), or adding rails and using any rail mount hitch. I added rails to mine as I feel it's a more solid platform, and it gives you a ton of flexibility - any rail mount hitch or adapter works on them. You can get a custom mount set of rails at etrailer for a couple hundred bucks or any shop can add them for you.

    Our Jayco 355MBQS came off the line 04/21.
    We will pick it up soon.
    Chose that floor plan to have a bunk room, but still have a large rear living area as the kids don't spend as much time in the bunk room as we thought they would.
    Dual Air is a must if you camp where it is hot. We also got the double pane windows as we camp in cool/cold weather to help with the condensation.
    The standard Towmax tire is know to have issues. for the small amount of $$$, the MAXXIS upgrade was definitely worth it.
    We did the free standing table as 12' refrigerator. Chairs from the table can be moved for extra seating when we have more than the 4 of us along. We did the 12' refer as we sometimes spend several days away from many stores, and being able to take more food is a plus.
    We added the extra awning on our front slideout to put the picnic table under and still have room under the main awning. No need to carry the easyup any more. Bikes go under the pin.
    Can't wait to get it!!!
