Painting our 5th wheel

Hello All:

We were going to buy a new or used 5th wheel and trade ours in towards that purchase. We finally decided to keep the one that we now own. We realized that we are happy with the floor plan, and there isn't a thing wrong with the coach. So we would like to get it repainted and maybe some new carpeting. Plan on keeping it for at least 5 to 10 more years. Can anyone here recommend a paint shop in the Albuquerque area of New Mexico. We are willing to travel to another state for painting, but would like to keep it local so we can watch the progress while in the shop. Thanks Bruce

In reading this it brings the question to mind, has anyone considered the new wraps they apply to vehicles for a RV? Seems like it may be a quick way to give an older unit a new look.

From a shop in Austin: "Wraps are priced by the square foot. An average full wrap on a vehicle can range from $2,000 to $5,000 depending on the amount of square footage of material that is required to wrap the vehicle." They're talking about a car or panel truck.

As expensive, if not more, than paint...unless you have an advertising budget and can write it off. Also, not as long-lasting, or so I've been told.

If you've got a 'glas exterior, any decent body shop that works on boats and Corvettes should be able to do the job. Assuming that there's not a good RV-specialty shop around...
