Panguitch Lake

Getting ready to head to Utah for our annual trip and wondered if anyone has every stayed at Panguitch Lake?

Will be in Marysvale for 8-9 days and thought we would then head down to Panguitch for a few days.
  • Very nice!
Have you got a map or where did you buy one?
    Thanks
  • Flyboy,
I was at Panguitch Lake last Labor Day for about 6 days. Left the rzr at home, went with a few dirt bike buddies and their rigs as well. Street legal is a big help, but not necessary.

The lake itself is nothing special. I stayed at the national forest campground just eat of the lake marina. There's free dump and water out there. A general story is nice, friendly. I was shocked at how much boondocking there was.

We rode as far south as Duck Creek and Strawberry Point, east to Bryce and north from there, all the way up to Circleville and back down to Panguitch thru the mountains. Big area. More fun technical stuff north but before the 20. The trail system is very, very large.the campground was a bit tight for the 40 ft funmover but everything fit fine. Some of the forest was very pretty, almost original, but lots of secondary growth. Fwiw I brought an xr600 and a xr280.

Pm me if you need details.

Many sites were pull thru, fit ok takes maneuvering.

  • Hey Fly-boy - post some pics of your trip. We we're always going to go there we lived in Vegas but never did.
  • Have not stayed at Panguitch Lake but we have stayed at Sand Hollow State Park in Hurricane, Red sandstone park offering boating in a reservoir & off-highway vehicle riding on Sand Mountain.
