PullRite Super Glide hitch question

We have just committed to buying a new to us 37' Montana and GMC short bed pickup. We currently own the same model truck and a 30 Durango using a Reese manual slider. The new rig has a PullRite SuperGlide and I am totally unfamiliar with it's operation.
Is there any big difference in backing up with the PullRite? Other than automatically sliding to the rear, does it create any difference in how the trailer backs up?
Thanks for your thoughts.....

Thank you. PullRite's just work so differently. We are picking up the truck and trailer Monday and I don't like surprises!

Two friends have Superglides and they work as advertised. No issues backing up.

Have pulled with a SuperGlide for 6-7yrs and >50k miles and am very happy with it. You will not notice any difference pulling or backing up other than when backing into a tight uphill spot without thinking you'll have a feeling of relief when the 5er doesn't punch out your back window.

You do need to be fairly straight hitching and unhitching (within 15deg) but we haven't found that to be an issue, just something to be aware of.

More importantly, make sure the pin box rides up onto the hitch a little when hooking up. If the truck doesn't *lift* the 5er a little you run the risk of 'high hitching' where the pin is too high in your hitch and the jaws won't automatically wrap. If this happens you'll know it right away, correcting it can be an issue. I've actually had to pull two pins on the hitch to release the top head to be able to fully unhitch and then do it correctly.

Enjoy your new rig and hitch!

Mine backs up fine. Hooking up is different. Can not be more then 15 degrees from straight on.
