Purchasing a Pullrite 5th Wheel

If you have a universal capture plate that is bolted or welded on, their is a adapter #3336 that will let a non superglide tow your unit, In my case my capture plate is held on with 1 allen bolt in the front, I do not have any banging unless the front bolt against the head needs adjusted.

Yeah capture plate is removed in 30 seconds with loosening 4 set screws.You can hook up at any angle.Just takes some thinking outside the box.

In my case, this isn't quite true. My capture plate is held on by two small screws at the front and a locking bolt that goes against the pin at the back. While it would take a few minutes to remove, it wouldn't be a major issue if I needed someone else to pull my camper. Also, I have the Pullrite Superglide designed for Industry Standard Rails (ISR), so if someone else needs me to pull their rig, we simply swap out hitches. Again, not a trivial thing to do, but not a major hurdle either. The only downside I have found so far is the weight - I rigged an overhead hoist in my shop to get the hitch in and out.

Due to the fact that somebody backed up into my driveway and stole my $30,000 fully loaded, fully packed 2011 Outback TT in 2012, this is a Major Plus to me!

If your SuperGlide has a little bang when stopping and starting; Get a bicycle inner tube, cut 4 pieces about 4" long, cut a slot in each for the hitch mounting tabs to fit through, place them between the rails and hitch. No more bang.

I know the bang,happens to me.I know where the problem is,the four mounting tabs that move slightly when starting and stopping.Im trying to figure exactly how you are using the inner tube.Are you putting the inner tube pieces ontop of the fiver brackets on your frame and then sticking the pins through them? Just cant wrap my head around your description.

The inner tube goes between the rails and hitch base where the tabs go through the rails. It tightened that junction to where the pins are difficult to push in and pull out.

You may be right! I was thinking it was the front of the hitch base lifting up and the pins hitting the bottom of the rails but it is most likely the hitch base sliding back and forth, tabs hitting rails.

I use an electric hoist mounted in my garage ceiling then lower it to a dolly.Start to finish including moving my truck 5 minutes.

I built a crude table (with large caster wheels) that is exactly the same height as my tailgate. When I remove my hitch, I simply remove the hitch plate assembly. Un-pin the base from the rails. Tip the hitch over on the left side. Then tip tip up on end and "walk"it to the end of my tailgate. And "flop" it GENTLY on my table. Roll it into my garage. The use the table as a workbench when I need to clean and grease for maintenance. No sweat. No hoisting, No cinching/strapping.

Mine is a 4400, 18K version. Complete assembly weighs 285#, with rails, and hitch head attached. The frame itself weighs less than 200#. And is easily handled by a 67 year out of shape old man.

I have #4 from HF which attaches to the joist in my workshop when needed.
I built a sled (furniture dolly) from 2X4 and swivel casters from Tractor supply. I whittled out shallow slots in the 2X4 with a drill for the tabs to fit into.
