Question for Hensley hitch owners

I just towed for the first time today with our air ride TS 3(only 5 miles) and noticed a clunk when starting and another clunk when I stopped. Any ideas? This hitch is brand new. I found the grease fitting and lubed it but am unclear where to use the spray grease mentioned in the manual. The pictures are black and white and hard to see exactly where to spray just under the plate that swivels. Thanks for any help. David

I have the same issue with my BD3, a clunk when starting, not so much when stopping. When I first installed the hitch this past spring everything was quiet but as time went by the clunk has gotten louder. I have looked everything over and can't find any slop in any of the connections. I finally decided it is probably in my Demco Glide Ride hitch as it appears there is too much play in the moving parts. I called Demco and they sent me a set of bushings but it will be spring before we travel again so not sure if that will cure the issue or not.

I have zero noise from my Hensley hitch, are you sure everything is bolted down tight?

Sounds a little like "slop" in the hitch, no?

I have the manual....the pictures are hard for me to understand. The word instructions are not that clear either. For such an expensive hitch you would think a colored picture with clarity might come with their product. It looks well built but I want to go down the road informed and with no clunk.
