Raising a 5er

Guys.
I have a new Chevy and the bed is deeper than my old LLY so I am having to lift the hitch, lots of adjustment holes for that.
If I do that the rear end of the 5er would be too low I was looking to put lifting blocks on the axle perch and sit the spring on them. Could I use 3íns lift blocks with safety?

Also, check out that post by wuhungsix. Lots of good information--you may decide to look for a sub-frame shop before starting the correct track.

Search out my post on correct track before starting the installation. Also, it would be a good idea to back the trailer up on boards until it sits the way you want it. Then, you'll know exactly how many inches that you need. Also search on jacking up the trailer. If it falls on you, you're dead.

I decided to go with the correct tract that I bought from amazon they say in the video it will raise the coach up the 2ins.My axles are on the bottom of the springs. Thanks.

If your axles are mounted above the springs an axle flip will give you almost 7 inches of lift. If they are already under the springs a subframe is the only safe way to go.

I did a 6" sub-frame lift. I love it. With the suggestion of members here I had my fabricator add extra holes in the new shackles too in case I ever needed further adjustment.

Some trailers have have pre-drilled mounting holes to raise the trailer on the suspension - Jayco calls it "Jake Plates".

If not, JIMLIN's suggestion is the best option.

A few years ago, there was a poster who did that (himself) and had lots of photos of the project.

Today I dropped the king pin by a 1ins then lifted the hitch up 1ins now I have the 6ins, but now the nose is high. Now I have to decide how I will raise the rear end.

My thread about lift I did

I did a 1.5" lift with the Mor/Ryde x-factor. If you read through all 4 pages of this thread, you'll see the discussion about the x-factor cross-member brace. You can add up to 3 of these, I think. The manufacturer of my 5th wheel had to do a recall on a similar 5th wheel and Mor/Ryde designed the lift and included 1 x-factor. So, I copied that solution for my lift.

The Correct Track is another route to go and can get you to 2". I probably would have been better off with 2" or more. I think I got 1.5"-1.75" max on the lift I did. A little more would have been better, but I'm happy with what I ended up with.

I don't have any extra holes in the hangers. I have thought about the Correct Track they say that can lift by 2ins?

Another option, look at the spring hangers, see if there is another set of holes below where the springs are mounted. On our Landmark with a Lippert frame, I had holes 2" below the springs. I relocated my springs to these holes and gained the height I need to tow level.

OP.... if you notice lift blocks are not a option on our RV trailers with close spaced axles in the center of the trailer. Nor do axle mfg recommend using them.

A truck has the axles at the corners with the front tires steering around the corner and the rear axle simply following.
The biggest issues is side loads placed on the axle U bolts are multiplied as the trailers tires slide sideways (scrubbing) while going around a corner or sharp turns while backing.

Most folks use a square tube sub frame between the main frame and suspension to raise the trailer safely.

Axle flip will raise you 6 or 6.5 inches. Them you can adjust the hitch. You will have plenty of bed clearance, the bottom step will be too high, the rear stabilizers may not touch. It may be better to cut everything off and build a sub frame. You can get another inch buy going to 16 in tires also.
