I recently read somewhere with modern lubricants and engineering/manufacturing engines just last longer. 200k is the old 100k !! I personally know a fellow with a Hemi 2500 who bought this truck back in 06 or so when for a short period of time Dodge was offering lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. After just having a horrible experience with a new Ford F250 with the 6.0 diesel he traded for the Hemi gasser. It now has nearly 400k miles and Dodge is still honoring the warranty!!! It's a 2500 series 4 wheel drive and Dodge has had to rebuild the front end multiple times!! They have put two transmissions in it!! He raises cattle and pulls heavy and hard. This is a work truck. The seats are worn out. It's showing some wear all over. The engine is still good and has given little problems other than an oil leak or engine sensors and injectors. The block has not been torn down. So don't give up on a truck with 80k. No doubt with proper maintenance it will go two or three times this amount. And by the way, Dodge may buy the truck back from him because it looks like he has no intentions of trading it. To him lifetime warranty was a bad mistake on their part.
