i have a 2014 keystone raptor toy hauler, only has been used about 8 times. when not in use I keep it in a storage building so really no weather on it except the 8 times used. went out this weekend and when I got home noticed the roof on the front of the camper was torn back about 4 feet. looks like the rubber came out from under the metal strap that holds it down. called keystone and they warranty a roof for 12 years....only for the rubber and you got to go to the rubber manufactory to claim....so they really don't have warranty. Keystone says the reason it came loose and torn was because I did not check the rubber seals on the roof every 3 months, does anyone do this? not really any help from Keystone...have anyone have this same issue and do you check these seals on the roof every 3 months?

looks like really poor workmanship on this roof when I got up on it and look close...

hate to say it, but your probably screwed. I'm dealing with the insurance company right now regarding a hail claim and its a big finger pointing game...its the mfg's fault, its the insurance company's responsibility, it falls on the consumer. Its a croc of sh@t if you ask me.

Be persistent & kind yet assertive and hopefully, just hopefully someone steps up and takes care of you. Continue to contact the dealer, mfg & insurance company. Sorry if I sound bitter...its because I am.

Here is the thread from last week.

clicky

Since it was never properly glued down, I am pretty sure it needs removed and replaced.

You might get a quote from RV Armor who replaces roofs.

Or fight with the factory and see if they will split a new roof.

The three month resealing requirement is BS.

do a search on this forum, there was a recent post about this very thing. I think that's BS about "checking your seals" every 3 months the roof sheet isn't "secured" by seals, its secured by screws/glue.
