- Dave_H_MExplorer IIYou might check to see if the mechanism is all corroded up from its last salt bath.
Mine was and after freeing it up and hosing it down with lube it is purring like a kitten. - SlickWillieExplorerAs posted, I would start at the switch. We have a CR Rushmore, and the switch got water in it and corroded. Popped it apart, cleaned and sprayed with Corrosion X. Problem solved.

- RedJeepExplorerOur rear electric stabilizer jack failed. Last winter it became completely covered by a block ice/snow. Without clearing the mess of I tried lowering the jacks and broke the shaft in the motor's reduction gear. I think lippert is the model. No easy fix found. I found a similar motor with reduction gear on eBay. I'll have to do some fabrication to hook it up. Good luck!
- Charlie_D_ExplorerBefore replacing the motor double check the switch. My switch is located on passenger side rear and will work sometimes. Road debris, dirt and water has taken it's toll
- ChooChooMan74ExplorerIs it a leveling jack or a stabilizing jack? More than likely, a stabilizing jack. Those are not meant to level, but to reduce the bounce of the unit.. That could be the reason why the motor let go. Anyways, the motors should be able to be found on any RV store or Amazon. Do you know the brand? Possibly a BAL?
