I didn't like my Reese 20K when we first got it mainly because the trigger was too sensitive and it kept relatching when I was trying to unhook. Then it behaved for 5 years until this summer when it made horrible popping and baning noises. I thought I had a broken pin box and I spent a lot of labor disassembling the front of the rig to find nothing wrong. It was the hitch - it needed grease on the front / back pivot.
The hitch flexes a lot and I think that contributes to chucking.
I wish I still had the Hijacker 24K I had in my last truck.
