We had the freestanding table in our Cougar bumper pull. It was fastened to the floor with four wood screws that went through the table legs and into the floor.
I fastened the table to a piece of 3x3 1/8" steel and drilled four holes, one at each corner and fastened the steel to the floor. For the last year or so we haven't fastened the steel to the floor and it hasn't moved. We can push the table into the corner to get it out of the way, or pull it out for seating for four or more.
It has worked very well for us, give us a lot more room too.
