X 2!! Anything else will look just like what it is...a patch.
Take your pictures to a body shop you feel good with and show them the pix. Most any shop good at fiberglass work should be able to fix it.

From the back (inside) of the damaged area you need to apply fiberglass cloth or tape and resin to restore strength to the area.
Then, on the outside, grind away the damaged surface cracks and loose sections and fill with epoxy paste (MarineTex), sand that smooth, and paint.
Getting to the back may be hard. Applying the tape and resin is easy. The sanding is tough: MarineTex is very hard.
Restoring it to like new will take someone who has done this many times. - KSadler1ExplorerIf it were me, I'd take it to a marine/boat shop and have them do it.....
- goducks10ExplorerLinks to pics. Not sure on the repair. Have you tried googleing fiberglass repair. I'm sure some YouTube videos would pop up. I can't believe how much smarter I am now that I found google:)
