They'll never admit it, but it's probably a known issue with a certain build run.

I bought dicor tape and sealed everywhere on my roof that had caulk on it within the first 6 months of ownership.Decided to stop a problem before one started.Kind of a profalactic solution.Only cost 100 bucks to do entire roof and three hours time. You could do the same even if you only do the problem area. With caulk once its has gotten dirty its really hard to tell where the leak or crack in the caulk might be unless its obvious.I shouldnt have to touch my roof with tape or caulk ever again.Usually once you notice a leak its done its damage behind the scenes already.Learned my lessons on previous rvs.You can inspect your roof every year and miss slight cracks in caulk everywhere.

If you are talking about a 2013 model, you should be able to just add to the old. It depends on what is leaking, or if you know for sure where the leak is.

You may want to give more info, to get more response.

It's a small area about one foot long at the top of the ladder. At least it looks like it may be my problem area.

Assume your talking about applying something like dicor over small spot rather than redoing your roof .. if so - yeah you can apply dicor over old sealant just clean up the old stuff first.
